Julia once struck me with a Ball of Snow
I thought Snow was not Fire, but felt it glow
Than Snow, what colder is? Yet 'twas a Brand
Which burn'd my Breast, when thrown from Julia's Hand
What Place is safe from treacherous Love's Surprize
If Force of Fire in congeal'd Water lies?
Julia alone can make my Flames expire,
Not with her Snow, or Ice, but equal Fire.
