Rare.

Binding

Post-Bound (stitched). One stitched gathering. Three blank leaves at the end, and numerous leaves cut out.

Different page arrangements and some writing very near gutter (p. 43, p. 20) suggests stitching after transcription.

Hands

Seemingly multiple hands, but difficult to say; could just be a matter of size and style of script, with poetry getting a larger, more formal hand than the prose meditations.

Indications of use

Some material inserted in another hand.

Loose page of poetry inserted.

Organization

A few lines of prose left on the second last leaf in the ambigraph section read like the translator's preface to a translation—maybe the end of a draft preface.

Original poetry

Yes, but needs further checking; at least one item (pp. 13-15) which appears to be original (by a Lady) is elsewhere attributed Nahum Tate and Nicholas Bray.

Page layout

Paginated (except for three blank pages at the end of the manuscript).
